The 46.2mm diameter solid PT 950 two-body case, downturned lugs, small angled bezel and large crown are polished/brushed. The dial is matt black with luminous lozenge hands, luminous Arabic numeral hour markers and baton indexes, a center sweep second hand, and an outer minute/second track. There is a date aperture window at 6 o’clock, and a 168 hours Power Reserve indicator at the 3 o’clock position. It’s water resistant to 60 meters/200 feet, and the 15.5mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed.

This IWC Big Pilot ("Die Grosse Fliegeruhr, Automatic") IW500203 has a mechanical automatic self-winding IWC caliber 5011 movement, with a Pellaton winding system. It’s rhodium-plated, with oeil-de-perdrix embellishment, and a shock absorber mechanism. It’s constructed with 44 jewels, a straight-line lever escapement, and a Glucydur beryllium alloy balance with a high-precision adjustment cam on the balance arms. It includes a self-compensating Breguet balance spring and a hacking seconds mechanism. It has a Soft-iron inner case for protection against magnetic fields.
