This rare antique trench watch is a beautiful example of early 20th-century timekeeping, dating back to the World War I era (1910s–1920s). Featuring a white enamel dial with large radium-style Arabic numerals and ornate cathedral hands, it embodies the transitional design language of the time, bridging pocket watches and the first wristwatches made for military use. The sub-seconds dial at 6 o’clock and the red numeral “12” were common in WWI watches, designed for quick legibility in the field. Housed in a silver-tone case measuring approximately 32mm, the watch features fixed wire lugs and a manually wound mechanical movement inside. The aged brown leather strap adds authenticity and complements the watch’s historic charm. Re-cased pocket movements converted into wristwatches, a practice common during the war for officers needing hands-free timekeeping. CASE SIZE: 32mm
