It has a unidirectional rotating bezel with a black Cerachrom ceramic insert, and Arabic numerals representing decompression times. It includes a screwed-down patented triplock winding crown protected by a crown guard, a screwed-down solid Titanium case back, a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, and a centered sweep seconds hand. The dial is Deep Sea Blue with luminous steel hands, and round, baton, and triangular hour index markers. "Deep Sea" is written in the same green color as film director/explorer James Camerons submersible. Its water-resistant to 3900 meters (12,800 feet), and there is a helium escape valve at the 9 oclock case position. The date aperture is at 3 oclock, and there is an outer minutes/seconds track. The instantaneous date features rapid setting and a stop-seconds function for precise time setting. Included is a COSC (Certified Official Swiss Chronometer) certificate. The 17.8mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed.
This Rolex Sea Dweller Deep Sea D Blue James Cameron has a mechanical automatic self-winding Rolex caliber 3135 movement. Its rhodium-plated and its constructed with 27 jewels, a straight-line lever escapement, and a shock absorber mechanism. It has bidirectional self-winding via a perpetual rotor. It has a monometallic balance thats adjusted to 5 positions, and a free-sprung self-compensating Breguet balance spring. It includes a paramagnetic blue Parachrom hairspring, Microstella regulating screws, and a central hacking mechanism. This watch is incredibly strong, water and pressure-resistant, due to its exclusive Ringlock system. This radical case architecture enables the watch to resist the enormous pressure exerted by water at the depth of 3,900 meters (12,800 feet), equal to a weight of 3 tons on the watch. The system has a nitrogen-alloyed steel central ring, accompanied by a 5 mm?thick, domed sapphire crystal and a case back in grade 5 titanium.
