This Audemars Piguet Royal Oak 15550ST has a mechanical automatic self-winding Audemars Piguet caliber 5900 movement that’s rhodium-plated with Cotes de Geneve embellishment. It’s constructed with 29 jewels, 188 components, a straight-line lever escapement, and a shock absorber mechanism. It has a suspended barrel, and the oscillating weight has an annular ring that runs on four jewels. It has a monometallic gyromax balance that’s adjusted for heat, cold, and 5 positions. There is a self-compensating flat balance-spring, an engraved  gold rotor, a variable inertia block balance, and a central hacking seconds mechanism. This movement combines a slim 3.9 mm thickness, a high 4Hz frequency and a 60-hour power reserve. The mechanism is visible through the sapphire caseback revealing the 22-carat pink gold oscillating weight along with the refined decorations adorning the components, such as the polished angles, vertical satin brushing, Côtes de Genève, circular graining and chamfering.
