The 42mm diameter solid three-body case, bezel, and buckle are polished/brushed. There is a date aperture window underneath the Cyclops magnifying bubble at the 3 o’clock position. The dial is black with luminous 18K gold baton, circle, and triangular hour markers. It has luminous skeleton hands, a center sweep seconds hand, and an outer minute/seconds track. This Rolex Yachtmaster Oyster Perpetual Date 226658 has a mechanical automatic self-winding Rolex caliber movement that’s rhodium-plated, with oeil-de-perdrix embellishment. It’s constructed with 31 jewels, a shock absorber mechanism, and a straight-line lever escapement. The oscillator is a Paramagnetic blue Parachrom hairspring. It includes a free-sprung monometallic balance that’s adjusted to temperatures and 5 positions, a self-compensating Breguet balance spring, Microstella regulating screws, and a hacking seconds device for precision time setting. The mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4 Hz).
