Some watches become legends as soon as they are introduced. So it was with the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore T3, whose mammoth 48mm wide case (57mm including the crown guard) made it an instant smash success with collectors.
This case measures 61mm in overall length by close to 16mm thick. Sapphire crystal. The winding crown and chronograph pushers are protected by lock-down clamps. Water resistant to 100 meters. The caseback has a very cool "T3" engraving.
The dial on the T3 is a full 36mm in diameter including the flange. Color is black, with oversized Clous de Paris pattern and luminous numerals and hands.
Movement is automatic winding AP Caliber 2226 with 12 hour chronograph.
