Patek Philippe 5130/1G-001 World Time Latest Larger Model in White Gold Luxury watchmakers Patek Philippe have unveiled a stunning new timepiece certain to become a favorite amongst jet-setting watch lovers. The 5130/1G-010 White Gold Complications timepiece is a truly modern World Time piece from this historic company, which is Geneva’s oldest independent family-owned watch manufacturer. Hour and minute hands display local time in the middle of the dial, while around the dial are two rings; one ring bears the names of 24 cities that stand for the world’s 24 time zones, while the other ring bears a 24-hour scale with a moon symbol for the nocturnal hours and a sun symbol for the daytime hours. The wearer’s local time zone is represented by the city at the very top of the dial in the 12 o’clock position. Meanwhile, home or other time zones are displayed by the 24-hour scale opposite the name of the respective city. This means that when traveling, there’s no need to stop the watch to move the hands or calculate time differences manually. Instead, it just takes a few actuations of the push piece at the 10 o’clock. When the city that stands for the destination time zone lands at the top of the dial, the setting is complete. The 5130/1G-010 Complications timepiece begins with a 39.5mm-diameter case housing a Caliber 240 HU mechanical self-winding movement. The 239-part movement, which vibrates at 21 600 (3 Hz) per hour, affords this timepiece a 48 hour power reserve. Viewable via the sapphire-crystal case back, the movement bears a 22K gold off-center mini-rotor and a hallmark Patek Philippe Seal. The gold dial of the 5130/1G-010 bears a beautiful guilloched sunburst with grey center, while the hour markers are also gold-applied. A white gold bracelet with fold-over clasp finishes the look of the 5130/1G-010 Complications timepiece.
