Watches come in many shapes, sizes and with allmanner of complications, but no watch is nicer looking or built better than this reference 5140 perpetual calendar. The solid 18k White gold case and  Opaline-White dial complement each other magically, and the dauphine hands and hour markers set this watch over the top.

Solid 18k White gold case is a nice modern size at37.5mm diameter (by a slender 9.2mm thick). Case has three piece construction with bezel, mid-case and case back. Front and display back crystals are sapphire. Second, solid case back is included.

The  Opaline-White dial is a masterpiece and gorgeous. Starting with dauphine hands, the dial also has a blue moon-phase display above 6 o’clock. Dial text is in white. The 3 o’clock sub-dial displays month and leap year cycle. The 6 o’clock sub-dial shows moon-phase and date. The 9 o’clock sub-dial displays day and 24 hour time (AM/PM).

Movement is the automatic winding ultra-thin Patek Philippe Caliber 240 with 27 jewels, 21,600 vph, 8 bridges, 48 hour power reserve and with275 individual parts. Micro-rotor construction which is becoming a lost art apart from Patek. Movement is stamped with the Patek Philippe Seal, which is Patek’s proprietary certification of quality with even more stringent quality requirements than the Geneva Seal.
