The Patek Philippe Nautilus Chronograph reference 5980/1A-014 is one of the most desirable sports chronographs ever produced by the legendary Geneva manufacture.

The 5980/1A-014 features a robust yet elegant 40.5mm stainless steel case, with the iconic Nautilus rounded octagonal bezel. Its case is finely finished with satin brushing across the surfaces and high-polish accents along the edges, emphasizing Patek Philippe’s meticulous craftsmanship. Measuring 12.2mm thick, the watch maintains a slim and wearable profile despite its automatic chronograph movement. The screw-down crown and pushers contribute to its durability, while the sapphire crystal caseback allows a glimpse into the intricate mechanics within. Water resistance is rated to 120 meters, ensuring it is as practical as it is refined.

The dial is a striking black gradient with horizontal embossed grooves, a signature of the Nautilus collection. This column-wheel flyback chronograph operates at 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz) and offers a power reserve of 45–55 hours. The movement is beautifully decorated and visible through the sapphire display back, showcasing Geneva stripes, perlage, and a 21k gold central rotor engraved with the Calatrava cross. The flyback function allows the chronograph to be reset and restarted instantly with a single press, a feature highly valued by enthusiasts.
