The 39.8mm square tonneau case, straight lugs, and curved stepped bezel with 8 face screws, are polished/brushed. It has a Graduated Blue dial with luminescent Cartier sword hands, a center sweep second hand, a square railroad-style minute/second scale, and around the perimeter are Roman numeral hour markers. There is a date aperture window at the 6 o’clock position. It’s water-resistant to 100 meters/330 feet, it has a 42-hour power reserve at full winding, and the 9.08mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed.

This Cartier Santos Large WSSA0071 has a mechanical automatic self-winding 1847MC movement. It’s rhodium-plated with Cotes de Geneve embellishment, and a straight-line lever escapement. It’s constructed with 23 jewels, a shock absorber mechanism, a monometallic balance, and a self-compensating flat balance spring. The mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4 Hz).
