Rolex really hit a homerun. While the case retains the same dimensions as the previous model (16710), the proportions of the case are considerably more beefed up – the lugs are thicker, the bezel and crown guards are more prominent and robust and, and for the grand finale, Rolex decided to adopt the Trip-Lock crown from the Submariner model. This is a great improvement both from a usability and aesthetic perspective. Another significant upgrade is the ceramic bezel, which is highly scratch resistant and vivid. Finally, the bracelet clasp is dramatically upgraded from the previous version. Case is 18kt White Gold with dimensions of 40mm diameter by  Approximately 12mm thick. The ceramic 24 hour bezel turns in both directions and is used in conjunction
with the, arrow-tipped hand which revolves once around the dial during a 24 hour period, to allow tracking a second timezone. Screw down crown and sapphire crystal ensure water resistance to 100 meters.

Dial is black with “Maxi” luminous hour markers and hands and date at 3 o’clock. The ‘GMT Master II’ text is in green as is the 24 hour hand.
