Audemars Piguet 26152AU.OO.D002CR.01 once again stuns the world of horology with its “CARBON ONE” Tourbillon and Chronograph. AP is the only watch company to master forged carbon technology. Following the success of the Alinghi all-carbon case, AP is taking a further step by presenting the first watch equipped with both case and movement in carbon. This model also features an original linear chronograph minute counter. The extremely light timepiece also incorporates the complexity of a 336-part Calibre 2884 tourbillon chronograph movement.

We attached a few pictures of the actual watch. It is probably one of the coolest AP Limited Edition watches we ever had the privilege of owning. The watch is unbelievable in detail and structure from its front to its case back where you can see the way everything works. This watch features a true open-worked dial which allows the collector to visually see and appreciate the way this magnificent timepiece works when set into position. I have to say from one watch enthusiast to another, this is definitely a watch that is understated and yet is simultaneously extremely rare an exotic. Many watch company do not have the ability to create a watch of this caliber where one can appreciate it’s mechanical composition as well as its aesthetic perfection. I have to say I give this watch a 10 out of a 10, and assure you that you will be extremely happy with the detail that Audemars Piguet offers on this magnificent masterpiece.

Audemars Piguet Calibre 2884 is an oval hand-wound movement entirely developed and crafted by AP. It is a complex movement equipped with a tourbillon, an ultra-efficient column-wheel chronograph mechanism and twin barrels. Each movement is first assembled on a trial basis in order to set it into motion. This stage alone calls for ten full days of painstaking adjustments. Once the watchmaker is sure that it runs completely smoothly, he takes it apart and scrupulously cleans the parts before final assembly and casing up. It takes about 15 days to create a finished movement that then undergoes various tests.
